Having been a writer and editor for over a decade, I naturally critique all that I read. And I read a lot! I read for pleasure, I read to my children and to the many surrogate grandkids and neighbors who pop by. 
Many friends, neighbors and colleagues ask me: what'd you read lately that really stood out? 
In those conversations, I discovered the 3rd R:  I not just loved reading and writing-- I loved reviewing just as much.
